The base kit is AMT's “1964 FORD GALAXIE 500-XL,” re-released by ROUND2 in 2022, a “Curbside-Style Kit.”

Since it doesn't include parts for converting it to NASCAR spec, I made various modifications this time.

Below is an overview of this build.

● Body:

Removal of the emblem, molding, and wipers molded as one piece on the body

Addition of a plain rear panel and installation of tail light covers

Addition of a race-spec fuel filler and fuel overflow pipe

Addition of hood pins from Monogram's NASCAR kit

● Front Grille & Bumper:

Application of aluminum sheet to the license plate mounting area and turn signal lamp areas

Installation of headlight covers

● Tires and Wheels:

PPP 1960-1964 Firestone tires, AMT “1965 FORD GALAXIE 500XL” Grand National wheels

● Cockpit Equipment:

Replaced cockpit with resin “60-64 Ford Interior Tab”

Changed the dashboard instrument panel to a racing specification and added gauges.

Partially modified and installed seats from Monogram's NASCAR kit.

Installed a roll cage made from Evergreen rods.

● Painting and Markings:

The body was sprayed with Tamiya Super Surfacer (Gray) and Fine Surfacer (White), then sprayed with TS-26 Pure White.

I used decals from Power Slide's “#133 #28 Lafayette Ford driven by Fred Lorenzen in the 1964-67 seasons,” but I also used some decals from AMT's “1965 FORD GALAXIE 500XL” kit.

The last two images show it photographed alongside a 1963 Ford Galaxie I built previously.

Incidentally, the number on the roof of Lorenzen's Ford Galaxie is positioned slightly to the left, not centered, regardless of the model year. If anyone knows if this was done intentionally or for some other reason, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

The base kit is Revell-Monogram's Thunderbird Legends Combo, and the decals are Power Slide's #208 “1982-84 #15 WRANGLER FORD THUNDERBIRD”.

For this build, I assembled the kit almost entirely as-is, with the exception of the additional modifications and changes listed below.

●Body

Filled door panel seam lines with putty; enlarged left headlamp cover air inlet and added etched mesh; added vent hose outlet pipe to left rear body panel; added trunk lid seam line; installed homemade rear spoiler made from plastic sheet and embedded 3D-printed rivets; relocated and enlarged fuel filler port; added etched mesh to radiator grille

●Chassis

Added safety pads and headrests to the roll cage

●Engine & Drivetrain

Added spark plug wires, fuel lines, oil filter, and oil lines

●Suspension & Wheels

Added 3D-printed 5-spoke wheels, disc brakes, and air valves

●Cockpit

Modified the shape of the kit's window net after detaching it

The body was sprayed with Tamiya Super Surfacer (Gray) and Fine Surfacer (White), followed by TS-16 Yellow and TS-93 Pure Blue. After an overcoat with TS-13 Clear, decals were applied. Once the decals were fully dry, another overcoat of TS-13 Clear was applied, then finished by polishing with compound.

While the above additions and modifications do not faithfully reproduce the actual car Dale Earnhardt drove, like the previous Aero Coupe, I felt it captured the essence of a NASCAR race car from that era reasonably well. Therefore, I have completed its construction.

The red and gold paint scheme pays tribute to Bobby Allison, who won the Southern 500 in 1971 and 1972 with Coca-Cola as the primary sponsor.

The base kit is Revell's “SnapTite Max” series “2016 #48 JIMMIE JOHNSON LOWE'S CHEVY SS,” with the body pre-painted in the basic colors of Jimmie Johnson's #48 car.

The decals are from Power Slide's #247 2016 #14 COCA-COLA “THROWBACK” CHEVROLET SS.

● Body:

　The body features filled-in cutouts for the exhaust outlets on the left and right side skirts, a newly added exhaust outlet cutout on the right side skirt, and added cutouts for the jack points. Additionally, the hood pins have been replaced with 3D-printed parts.

● Chassis:

The chassis has been modified to comply with GEN6 regulations. This includes adding missing roll cage bars, reshaping the rear bulkhead, adding a front bulkhead, adding a fail line, and adding rear suspension adjustment tubes.

● Cockpit Equipment:

The kit's instrument panel had no molded gauges whatsoever. Therefore, Power Slide digital gauge decals were applied, and 3D-printed parts for the switch panel, cutoff switch, warning lamps, etc., were added to make it look authentic.

For the bucket seat, I cut off the headrest section of the kit part, glued on a pad cut from sponge sheet, and applied separately sold seatbelt decals.

However, these modifications are not a faithful reproduction of the cockpit of Tony Stuart's car, but rather an attempt to realistically express the atmosphere of the GEN6 cockpit.

● Painting and Markings:

The body was primed with Tamiya Super Surfacer (Gray) and Fine Surfacer (White), then sprayed with TS-49 Bright Red and TS-21 Gold. After that, TS-13 Clear was applied as an overcoat, and then the purchased decals were applied.

The final image shows it displayed alongside Bobby Allison's 1969 Mercury Cyclone and 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

I also have kits for the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona and the 1971 Dodge Charger in stock as base kits for Bobby Allison's cars with the same body color. I plan to build these as well at some point.

Its main sponsor is the chocolate brand M&M's, with flashy characters painted all over the body.

The base kit is AMT's 1/25 scale “Snap it” kit “NASCAR 2010 CHEVROLET IMPALA,” specifically the variation kit “THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN Stock Car.”

The CoT, or fifth-generation machines, share the same body template for Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge, and Toyota. While the front noses replicate each manufacturer's actual car design, the Camry features a unique rear side window shape. Additionally, the Camry's front nose and engine hood press lines differ from the base Impala kit, but I built this model without modifying those parts.

The decals are “Winscals #18 M&Ms 2008 Kyle Busch Nascar decal” purchased from an American online shop via eBay.

This kit is a snap-fit kit designed for younger builders, so it doesn't include engine parts, and the roll cage and interior are significantly simplified. Therefore, I decided to add some additional work to the omitted areas to improve the model's overall completeness.

Below is an overview of this build.

● Body:

Modifications include reshaping the rear side windows, relocating the jack point cutouts on the side skirts, and repositioning the exhaust pipe outlets.

● Tires & Wheels:

Tires and wheels are reused from Revell's “SnapTite” kit, with Power Slide tire logos and wheel logos applied.

● Cockpit:

Added missing roll cage bars and a front bulkhead to comply with GEN6 regulations.

For the instrument panel, the gauge frames were sanded down. Thinly sliced plastic rods were glued as meter bases, and Power Slide gauge decals were applied.

The window net is reused from a Monogram NASCAR kit, adjusted for size and thickness.

The bucket seat was modified from the kit parts to create a split headrest type.

● Painting & Markings:

The body was primed with Tamiya Super Surfacer (Gray) and Fine Surfacer (White), then sprayed with TS-16 Yellow.

After applying the decals, some required trimming or repositioning since they were intended for 1/24 scale. Additionally, the fender sponsor decals are surplus Power Slide decals with sharper printing.

The final image shows the AMT “NASCAR 2010 CHEVROLET IMPALA” snap-together kit, photographed alongside the four cars I've built so far.

I've now completed a full set of CoT generation GM, Ford, Dodge, and Toyota models.

Edit; the Coke decals are from one of the AMT Coke licensed kits. Again, couldn’t tell you which one.

Sorry for the crappy pictures but as of now I only have my phone to use.

Was concerned with them as they were probably over 40 years old. Tested the front bumper gold stripe and sure enough it shattered. So, I sprayed the rest of the sheet with clear gloss lacquer and the rest went on fine. Paint is Testors rattlecan Italian Red lacquer, decals by Ace. Glad to have it done.

It's been a while since I built one of the Monogram based NASCAR kits, and there was a bit of a learning curve to get back in the swing of building one of these.  It is built box stock.  I did file down the firewall to make sure there was enough clearance between the dash and the front glass as this has been a problem plaguing these kits, since they were designed and molded by Monogram.  The paint is Dupli-Color gloss white and Krylon green for the interior.  The pictures I found of this car seemed to show either green, gray or black for the interior color, so I chose green.  I know the bumper guards on the front of these cars is supposed to be black, but I cannot bring myself to try to paint this yet.  The thought of bleed through or a less than straight line gives me the chills.  The decal work was not my best.  Overall, I am pretty pleased with the finished model.  Thanks for looking.
