	Has anyone had any luck in finding companies that offer 3D scanning services for hobbyists like us? As much as I'd love to have a quality scanner it's not been in the hobby budget as of yet. I've got several projects in limbo where being able to scan kit bodies and parts, bring them into CAD to modify and then 3D print the custom parts would get things moving again. I have a hobby license of Solidworks at home and a 3D printer that I'd love to be putting to good use for such things

	Hey Everyone!
</p>

<p>
	I was just looking around and feeling nostalgic for some pre-COVID hobbyshop love, and I thought "I'll check Ashbrook's site". Nothing came up. I did some digging, and there was some reference to the shop being auctioned.
</p>

<p>
	I'm talking about Ashbrook's Hobby (Formerly Prieh's Hobby) in Richmond, Michigan, just off Division Line.
</p>

<p>
	I'm in Canada, and haven't been stateside since October 2019. They were running well then. Got a lot of stuff there, too.
</p>

<p>
	If there's anyone from the area who knows, can you tell me if they're dead?<br />
	<br />
	It's a shame, because I loved going to Ken's Country Kitchen and then walking down to Ashbrook's to have a fantastic afternoon of food and sprue. If they're gone, it's a true loss.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks!
</p>

	I just received a modest order from Iceman Collections (www.icemancollections.com) and I am very impressed by these resin 3D printed items. The quality is great, lines are crisp, details are sharp. The products look just as nice as the images on the website. I was super excited when I placed my order! My excitement increased when I held the items in my hand. I will try to get some quality photos later. They are very nice.
</p>

<p>
	The shipping was very fast as well. I ordered last Friday (1/6) and received them today (1/13).
</p>

<p>
	I will definitely be ordering from them again!!

	I've been slowly adding a couple of 3D files to my site at <a href="https://www.theboogiemachine.com/" rel="external nofollow">the Boogie Machine</a> and over on Cults3D on my profile @theBoogieMachine. I might be adding some physical prints soon, but life tends to get in my way every time I plan to do that, so no promises. I'm a disabled vet dealing with lots of medical issues and appointments, also a father of 3. Always something keeping me busy around here. I will try to update here if I do get some physical prints listed on the site. For now, hope you guys enjoy the files. <span class="ipsEmoji">😎</span><span class="ipsEmoji">🤙</span>

<p>
	FYI, if anyone has any questions or comments, the easiest/quickest way to message me is through Facebook on my @theBoogieMachine page there, but I do have a contact form on my website as well. If any of you guys have suggestions for parts that aren't on the market already, feel free to drop me a line. I'm self taught and still a complete rookie learning a lot about CAD design and 3D printing, so please keep that in mind.

	I've seen this question pop up more than once: What is this company and where do I get the product.  Note I have NO connection with the owner, just own a number of pieces and they are of the finest quality.  I found a current catalog and price listing on the hated F-Book.  Take a very shallow dive and hit the link on this page.  Has the current offerings and, just as important, the considerations of ordering.  The usual: one man operation, extended wait times for production and shipping.

	Hi folks,
</p>

<p>
	New member here. I just got back into the hobby - haven't built anything since I was a kid (I'm 65 next week).
</p>

<p>
	A few days ago I made a rather sizable order (~ $195) @ rbmotion (<a href="https://www.rbmotion.shop/" rel="external nofollow">https://www.rbmotion.shop/</a>). There was no indication anywhere on the site that they were not in business or not taking orders and the checkout function worked and allowed me to pay via Venmo. I got a confirmation email after my purchase.
</p>

<p>
	I wouldn't even be thinking about this since it's only been aa few days, however, I saw a thread here where it seemed that the owner of rbmotion was taking a break until January 2025 or possibly later.
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone ordered from rbmotion since the break? Does anyone know if he is back in business? I assume so, since it would seem bad form to leave a working checkout function on the website and no notification of a break.
</p>

<p>
	I've emailed the yahoo email provided in my confirmation email from my purchase, but did not hear back.
</p>

<p>
	Just looking to get some information here if anyone is in the know.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance for any info!
</p>

<p>
	And just for the heck of it, here is what I'm working on:

	Hello all,
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	Having much more  time these days,  I've decided to start a small business venture. I'm offering you my 30 plus years experience in design.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	You would like to add some custom details to your model?
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	Or maybe you need a specific assembly or fabrication jig?
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	I can model them for you and generate a .stl file so you can have it printed. Can't print it yourself ? I can print it for you.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">

</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	Whatever your need, we can discuss it and see if I can help you. Prices will be based on complexity, precision of print and quantity.
</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">

</p>

<p style="background-color:#e0d2af;color:#141414;text-align:left;">
	Here is an exemple of what can be 3d modeled.
