LIARS MODEL CAR CHALLENGE 2012

Come join your fellow modelers of all skill levels from all over the world at the 2012 LIARS Model Car Challenge. As always, it will be at the Freeport Recreation Center, Freeport, NY 11520; this year, on Saturday, November 10, 2012. Registration starts at 9AM and the awards ceremony starts at 3PM. There willl be 25 judged classes with third thru first place awards, six "Best..." awards, the LIARS Memorial Award, the People's Choice Award and the Judges' Best in Show Award. This year's theme class is "Box Art Builds : any model of a vehicle built to replicate box art". Check out the goods at more than forty vendor tables while the kids enjoy the Make+Take table or the Coloring Contest. There will be "door prizes and fun throughout the day". Refreshments are available at the site and there is plenty of fast-and not-so-fast food available nearby.

Registration and admission: Adults= $10/first model, $1/each additional. Junior 12-17= $5; 11 and under=FREE. Spectator admission=$5; 11 and under= FREE.

Directions: Northern State Parkway, Southern State Parkway or Sunrise Highway to Meadowbrook Parkway South. Meadowbrook Parkway to exit M9 West (Merrick Road). Go four lights; the Rec Center will be on the left (south) side.
